SAN FRANCISCO, CA—March 22, 2020—San Francisco Performances (SFP), in compliance with COVID-19 state and local safety guidelines and the continued restrictions on public gatherings, announces that April and May performances will not be held as scheduled.

As the rate of vaccinations increase and San Francisco’s COVID-19 tier status changes, SFP is hoping to reschedule postponed events as soon as safety guidelines allow. Once those dates become known, they will be announced with information on how current ticket holders can attend as well as how to make new ticket purchases.

In the meanwhile the public can access free online digital recordings of archival SFP performances, lively music lectures by music historian Robert Greenberg and specially recorded performances by SFP artists on our Front Row platform.

Patrons who hold tickets to CANCELED performances have these options:

  • Place the value of your tickets on account to be applied to future events or subscriptions
  • Donate the (tax-deductible) tickets to San Francisco Performances
  • Apply the value of the tickets toward a gift certificate which can be held or given to someone else
  • Request a full refund

Patrons who hold tickets to a POSTPONED performance have these options:

  • Attend the concert (patrons will be contacted to receive updated information on postponed events)
  • Apply the value of the tickets towards a subscription or single performance in the 2020–21 season
  • Donate the (tax-deductible) tickets to San Francisco Performances
  • Apply the value of the tickets toward a gift certificate which can be held or given to someone else
  • Request a full refund
